Spaces become %20, commas %2C, and line breaks %0A. Multiple parameters are joined with an ampersand.

2. Alternative Format

Some older scanners use the MATMSG format (MATMSG:TO:...;SUB:...;BODY:...;;). Phone cameras handle mailto reliably, so prefer it.
