1. The Dwell Time Opportunity

Bus stop dwellers wait an average of several minutes with their phone in hand. A QR on the panel converts passive viewers into active responders at no incremental media cost.

2. Contextual Offer

A bus stop near a cinema links to that evening's screening times and ticket booking. A stop near a supermarket links to the week's offers. Geographic relevance increases scan rate.

3. Attribution

Each panel has a unique URL. Scan events show which panel, what time, and what the conversion rate was. Outdoor advertising gains the attribution clarity usually only available in digital media.

4. Size and Placement

Bus shelter panels are read at 1 to 2 metres. A 10 to 15 cm QR is adequate. Place the code in the lower third of the creative, away from the headline.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do bus stop QR codes scan in the rain?

Yes. Standard phone cameras handle rain on the protective panel glass. Ensure the module contrast is high enough to overcome any reflection.

Is each panel QR code different?

Yes, for attribution. The server redirects all to the same campaign destination, but each URL carries the panel ID.
