How to Use the Dentist QR Suite

Dental QR codes earn their keep when they remove admin and anxiety: patients book without calling, complete intake before the visit, take aftercare home in their pocket, and leave a review while the visit is still fresh. Build one code per job, then place each where its moment happens.

Place each code where its moment happens

The appointment code belongs on the website and cards, intake on confirmations, aftercare on the take-home sheet, and the review code at reception and on receipts. A code in the wrong place gets ignored, however good it is.

Keep aftercare short and checkable

Aftercare text must be readable at a glance. Keep it to the essentials, put the phone number at the end, and have a clinician review the wording before it is printed, because a printed instruction is hard to take back.

Test before you print

Print a sample at the real size, scan it on two different phones in real reception lighting, and confirm the whole journey works, from scan to appointment. Keep the quiet zone clear and use dark modules on a light background.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the aftercare code contain?

Plain text with the procedure, the aftercare instructions and the practice phone number, so a patient can read the guidance at home without needing any special app. Keep instructions short enough to fit on one scan.

What does the appointment code contain?

The appointment page URL plus the dentist name as a link parameter, so the page can pre-select that dentist when it supports it. If it does not, the code still opens the appointment page.

Can I change the destination without reprinting the codes?

Yes, if the code points to a URL you control. Update the page behind it and every printed code shows the new content. If the code points to a page you do not control, a change there can break your printed cards.

Will these QR codes work on iPhone and Android?

Yes, in nearly all cases. Modern iPhone and Android cameras read QR codes natively. Test on both platforms before a large print run, keep the quiet zone clear, and use dark modules on a light background with strong contrast.
