How to Use the Driving School QR Suite

Driving school QR codes earn their keep when they remove admin: learners book lessons without calling, check prices before they commit, practise theory from one scan, and save the instructor’s number straight to their phone. Build one code per job, then place each where its moment happens.

Place each code where its moment happens

The booking code belongs on flyers and the website, the price list on the door and in ads, theory test in the classroom, and instructor contact on the first-lesson handout. A code in the wrong place gets ignored, however good it is.

Keep destinations under your control

Point printed codes at URLs you control, such as short redirects, so you can swap the destination without reprinting. A booking page that moves should not orphan every printed flyer.

Test before you print

Print a sample at the real size, scan it on two different phones in real lighting, and confirm the whole journey works, from scan to booking. Keep the quiet zone clear and use dark modules on a light background.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the instructor-contact code contain?

A vCard with the instructor name and phone number, so scanning opens the phone’s contacts app with the details already filled in. The scanner still reviews and saves the contact.

What does the lesson-booking code contain?

The lesson booking URL plus the instructor name as a link parameter, so the page can pre-select that instructor when it supports it. If it does not, the code still opens the booking page.

Can I change the destination without reprinting the codes?

Yes, if the code points to a URL you control. Update the page behind it and every printed code shows the new content. If the code points to a page you do not control, a change there can break your printed cards.

Will these QR codes work on iPhone and Android?

Yes, in nearly all cases. Modern iPhone and Android cameras read QR codes natively. Test on both platforms before a large print run, keep the quiet zone clear, and use dark modules on a light background with strong contrast.
