How to Use the Event Venue QR Suite

Event venue QR codes earn their keep when they remove queues and confusion: guests enter with one scan, find their seats from the map, follow a schedule that stays current, and find vendors without wandering. Build one code per job, then place each where its moment happens.

Place each code where its moment happens

The entry-ticket code belongs on the ticket itself, the seating map at the entrance and on tickets, the schedule at the entrance and on stage screens, and the vendor list at the entrance and on the event page. A code in the wrong place gets ignored, however good it is.

Keep the schedule page live

The schedule code only works if the page behind it is updated when times change. Assign one person to update it during the event, and check the code yourself before doors open.

Test before you print

Print a sample at the real size, scan it on two different phones in real venue lighting, and confirm the whole journey works, from scan to seating map. Keep the quiet zone clear and use dark modules on a light background.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the entry-ticket code contain?

Plain text with the event name and ticket number, so door staff can identify the ticket from a scan without any special app. Check tickets against the guest list, since a plain-text code alone cannot prove a ticket is genuine.

Why put the schedule on a QR code?

Schedules change. A code that points at a schedule page you control stays right all day, while a printed programme goes stale the moment a set time moves. Update the page, not the printed code.

Can I change the destination without reprinting the codes?

Yes, if the code points to a URL you control. Update the page behind it and every printed code shows the new content. If the code points to a page you do not control, a change there can break your printed cards.

Will these QR codes work on iPhone and Android?

Yes, in nearly all cases. Modern iPhone and Android cameras read QR codes natively. Test on both platforms before a large print run, keep the quiet zone clear, and use dark modules on a light background with strong contrast.
