How to Use the Laundromat QR Suite
Laundromat QR codes earn their keep when they remove waiting and wondering: customers check whether a machine is free, see prices before they load, place a wash-and-fold order without queuing, and report a broken machine before it wastes anyone’s evening. Build one code per job, then place each where its moment happens.
Place each code where its moment happens
The machine-status code belongs on each machine, the price list at the entrance, wash-and-fold at the counter and on bags, and feedback near the exit and on receipts. A code in the wrong place gets ignored, however good it is.
Keep machine numbers matched to machines
A status code is only useful if the machine number on the card matches the machine it is stuck to. Check the match whenever machines move, and replace cards that peel or fade.
Test before you print
Print a sample at the real size, scan it on two different phones in real laundromat lighting, and confirm the whole journey works, from scan to order. Keep the quiet zone clear and use dark modules on a light background.
